As a Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of complex automation projects for manufacturing clients across a variety of industries, throughout North America. This role is critical to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget—while maintaining the high client satisfaction Ready Systems is known for.
You’ll oversee a project from start to finish — covering scope, resources, commissioning, and final handover — while serving as the main point of contact between clients, internal teams, and suppliers to keep goals and deliverables on track.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of custom automation projects, from project kick-off through commissioning, installation, and final handover.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, milestones, resources, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams across sales, engineering, applications, field services, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor project performance and financials, proactively managing schedule, costs, scope, risks, and technical requirements to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Lead project communication and stakeholder engagement, facilitating regular status meetings and providing clear, timely updates to internal teams, clients, and key partners.
- Drive quality and continuous improvement, ensuring technical and performance requirements are met or exceeded while strengthening project delivery processes and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or a related field
- At least 5+ years of experience working on multidisciplined projects in the engineering or related field
- At least 2-3 years of direct project management experience leading a multidisciplined team
- PMP, or equivalent, certification is a strong asset
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, controls integration, and manufacturing operations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
- Experience with project management software tools and financial tracking
- Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings, site visits, or commissioning (approx. 1–2 days/month)
Physical & Safety Tasks
All applicants must be able to perform the following tasks as part of their player-coach operational responsibilities:
- Walk up to 5 km per day during manufacturing floor oversight and plant walkthroughs.
- Stand and work at heights or navigate tight operational environments when required.
- React quickly to visual and auditory factory alerts.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety footwear, safety eyewear, vests, and high-visibility gear during site visits.
